Helsinki-rapper JAG got his proper introduction in 2006 after winning a radio station's demo competition, for an opening slot for Swedish rap legend Promoe, at the famous Tavastia club in Helsinki. A steady flow of gigs in the Helsinki-area and a few internet releases lead to a dream come true, when JAG got the honor to open for Ice Cube in 2008. Since then, JAG has worked hard to gain a more global audience, which has resulted in shows in Estonia, Russia, Sweden, France, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. With such notable appearances under his belt and a growing following, JAG has kept climbing the ladder album by album. So Far No Good (2012), Detention (2014) and More Of The Same (2017) are all predominantly boom bap oriented and punchline heavy, which is also the case for the rapper’s latest project Shop Talk EP, on which JAG has an old fashioned, no-holds-barred approach, aiming his frustration at his lesser peers in the rap game. The EP is produced in its entirety by Bluf, and will definitely have your head nodding from start to finish.
